CH Merrilong Kalvaro
comes from the renowned kennel of Mrs. June Head in New South Wales, Australia. Merrilong is well known for breeding outstanding Jack Russell Terriers of consistent type, size and quality. The pedigrees of Mrs. Head's terriers are solidly of the colonial type, and they read like "who's who" in the Australian JRT world. Merrilong bloodlines are cherished in top breeding programs in Australia and New Zealand. They are among the top winning JRTs in those countries. It is easy to see why when you look at the photos of Kalvaro so representative of Merrilong quality. We are excited and honored to have a male of such excellence in our show and breeding program. There is no doubt that Merrilong Kalvaro will make his mark on the American gene pool and in the show ring. He is destined follow in the paw prints of his celebrated ancestors.
This boy has everything we want in a top show and stud dog. He has marvelous substance, a gorgeous head, a tight weatherproof broken coat, beautiful angles, superb movement and a sweet loving playful temperament. To know Kalvaro is to instantly fall in love with him. This male IS the standard! We cannot thank Mrs. Head enough for entrusting this superb dog to us. This boy is all show dog. He lives for it and gives everything he has every second in the show ring. His tail is never down, and he never has to be hard stacked. When every other terrier in the ring begins to wear down you'll see Kalvaro sparkle. Kalvaro went BOB and a Group 3 his first day in the show ring. He quickly finished his championship the second weekend out, was Best Male every show, BOB twice, a Group 1 and a Group 3. We look forward to many years of success with CH Merrilong Kalvaro in the show ring.
Kalvaro is BAER normal, CERF clear and patellas are normal. His sire and dam are also CERF clear. He stands at stud to approved AKC registered bitches with a current clear CERF, normal BAER test, orthopedic clearances and a negative brucellosis.
